We received a request from the New Forest History & Archaeology Group. The Club carries out useful archaeological work in the New Forest. It has limited resources and the New Forest Trust was pleased to make a donation for this purpose and to ensure the Club could continue its valuable research work in the Forest.
The device is particularly useful for rapid surveys of earthworks in the New Forest and is most valuable in areas of rough ground and dense vegetation where a normal tape would be very difficult to use. This equipment has been used in the production of a detailed report on Oakley and Knightwood Inclosures.
