Roy Jobling

We will always remember a very special person in our lives, who brought a lot of happiness to us all. The New Forest was a truly special place for Roy, and we all have had such memorable family holidays together, from building dams, picnics, crabbing and herding the ponies off the roads to name only a few.

You are a great miss to us all, but we will always remember you.

Miss me a little but not too long and with your head bowed low, remember the love we once shared, miss me, but let me go.

Your loving family.

Pat Kealy

In memory of Pat Kealy our amazing mother who passed away on 3 January 2021. She enjoyed a truly remarkable life living on four continents however her most favourite place was in the New Forest – taking her Irish Wolfhounds for long walks on Longslade bottom and watching the ponies roam freely.

Our Mum loved her family and being part of all our lives and we, her children, are all immensely enriched by her adventurous spirit and quiet courage. She lived in interesting times and will be missed.

Love you now and always Mum. Steve, Kevin, Conan and Shauna.

Susan Leavey

In loving memory of our mum Susan Leavey who passed on the 2nd June 2020. She loved the New Forest and especially enjoyed watching the horses and donkeys from her window. Moving to the New Forest gave her so much joy. She loved the area, the wildlife and the beauty of the forest. She was an amazing mum and friend with an incredible force and energy.

Remembered by her children Rebecca Murphy and Amanda Golledge and all those lucky enough to have her in their lives.

Missed and loved always.

John Stanley Carl

In memory of our John. A much loved son, brother, brother in law and uncle who left us on the 27 February 2018. John was a gentle and generous person to the end who inspired everyone just by being himself. John accepted his illness and the possible outcome but to the end remained just John. No fuss, no anger, but thoughtful and considerate of those around him.

John loved the New Forest, its peace, its magnificent scenery and wildlife and above all else the sense of calm. John you are never far from our thoughts, but we will have a special thought when we too visit this much loved place.

Every family trip home to her native England included an excursion to the New Forest to visit with the ponies, who roam freely in this wonderful place that enables them follow their natural way of life.  Our mom also followed her own path in life.  She was fiercely independent, brave, and a world traveller.  She was caring, generous, funny, one of a kind, and loved all animals.  We more than love you mom, Juliet and Vicki.

John Edward Gammage (‘Jack’)
14.03.36 – 22.11.13

John, known to many as ‘Jack’, loved nature and the great outdoors. Having been raised on a farm in Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire, country living was simply part of who he was. It therefore followed that when he retired, he moved to the New Forest. He enjoyed long country walks taking in flora and fauna and the wonderful sights the Forest has to offer. Whilst we lost him too soon, those who loved him draw huge comfort in the knowledge that Jack enjoyed his retirement in the peace, tranquility and beauty of this special place.

Remembered by his wife Jasmine, his two daughters, three grandchildren and all of his family and friends.

Robert Reginald Hill (‘Bob’)
24.07.36 – 12.10.12

Robert known to friends and family as Bob was born at Lyndhurst and loved the New Forest, every season he would take his camera and dogs and just loved being in the heart of the forest.  He always said how lucky he was to live in such a wonderful place.  Sadly he was taken from us far too soon leaving his two daughters, two son in laws, two granddaughters and two grandsons and me his wife of 51 years 5 months. So now he is at peace back in the forest where we scattered his ashes.

Remembered by his wife Pat and all his family and friends.
